My life before I joined Fisch Asset Management
Following my education at the Cantonal School, I began to gather my
first experiences in the working world in 1987. It was only by
coincidence that I landed in the banking business. In the back-office
area of UBS and subsequently at Credit Suisse, I was able to increase
my financial know-how by working at various trading desks.
Following these experiences with the big banks, I worked for
a Swedish portfolio manager. I soon recognized that I was very
interested in the IT area, and this motivated me to co-found a software
company in 1994 that I was able to build up. We developed software for
portfolio management, ranging from back-office applications to
analytical tools.
I met Kurt Fisch during a round of golf. It just so happened
that the young Fisch Asset Management at the time had substantial needs
in the IT area. To make a long story short, FAM became a client of
mine, and we got to know each other better as time went by.
I ended up joining FAM in 1996. As a result of this move, the software company BlueSky Softworks became a subsidiary of FAM.
My duties at Fisch Asset Management
Fisch Asset Management is a
highly specialised company in many aspects and to permanently
questioning and optimizing our products and procedures is of umtost
importance to us. I am with Fisch since 1996 and together with my broad
professional experience in IT and Asset Management I may be able to
contribute my share on our way to the perfect company.
When I'm not working, then ...
... whenever the weather
permits, I can be found on a golf course with friends. Otherwise, I
like to improvise on the piano (jazz, bossa, ballads).
In autumn, I frequently enjoy sitting on the balcony or in
the garden and gazing at the stars through my telescope (2000 mm,
Schmidt-Cassegrain), with a good glass of wine in hand.
What significance do "fish" have in my life?
Fish are something that I prefer grilled. |
