My life before I joined Fisch Asset Management
Since many years I have been working
in the asset management of Multi Asset Class Products at different banks and
financial institutions, holding positions as head investment strategist, head
portfolio management, senior portfolio manager and consultant. In these
functions I established and implemented the investment process and I regularly
was a member of the investment committee. I personally feel most comfortable in
the areas of asset allocation, engineering of portfolios and all aspects of
investment processes. Since a couple of years I am specialised in the area of
Multi Asset Class Absolute Return products and I like to work intensively with
non-traditional asset classes. I am especially interested in the analysis of
investments and portfolios in difficult market environments, whereas the
preservation of the assets under such conditions poses a fascinating challenge
(see Asymmetry).
Concerning education and training I follow the principle of lifelong learning.
After my bank apprenticeship I have graduated in business administration at
Zurich University of Applied Sciences, then received the CEFA diploma
(Certified EFFAS Financial Analyst, AZEK), the MBA of the University of
Rochester/Berne and the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst).
My duties at Fisch Asset Management
In the last couple of months one
particular fish has taken over a major role in my life: the MANTA. The
construction of that concept and its investment process from a to z, the
inception of the fund as well as the management of that product has leveraged
my relationship to fish into a new dimension.
When I'm not working, then ...
… I am a master of active holidays
or challenging spare time action; be it challenging motor biking tours or then
very lazy beach holidays. I used to be quite sporty in volleyball but today
only infrequent beach volley ball fun games and some evening football sessions
at home may give a glimpse into my earlier fitness. I furthermore don’t reject
an interesting book or an entertaining movie.
What significance do "fish" have in my life?
My first thought about the term
„Fish“ is related to the star sign. I am a Pisces, and someone said that they
fit very well with Virgos, which are my wife, my father, my mother, my
father-in-law and my mother-in-law; they are all Virgos… but actually I don’t
believe in astrology. |
