My life before I joined Fisch Asset Management
Spending 10 years with Credit Suisse (originally SKA) had a strong
influence on my professional life. After starting in the corporate
actions area, I spent an extended stint in corporate banking. This time
was very instructive and fostered my interest in corporate and credit
research. I took a year off from work to travel, visiting Alaska, other
parts of the USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Afterwards, I worked for
Credit Suisse Asset Management as a performance analyst for
institutional clients (pension funds and investment foundations).
My duties at Fisch Asset Management
My task as portfolio manager for the Fisch Bond Value Fund is to implement the best ideas from our research partner I-CV Independent Credit View. By attending conferences and visiting companies we are at the pulse of our investments. Client relationship management and administrative duties complete my tasks.
When I'm not working, then ...
… every now and then I can be
found dining or enjoying a glass of beer or wine at some smoke-filled
bar in Zurich. One of my favorite hobbies is travel, and I am
particularly fascinated by South America and Asia. But I also
appreciate spending 2 weeks on an island where the only decisions I
“have to” make are when to go to the beach and what to eat. Since I
live near Lake Zurich, I often like to spend time at the local lakeside
recreational area in summer.
What significance do "fish" have in my life?
When I was
younger, I considered fish sticks to be a culinary highlight. As time
went by, pasta with a salmon cream sauce became one of my favorite
foods. Today, I prefer tuna sushi. |
