My life before I joined Fisch Asset Management
My most enjoyable years before FAM were spent primarily at Discount Bank and Trust Co. There were two long pauses during this period, however. The first pause came after six years, when I decided to pursue training that would take me in a different direction, and the second time I left Switzerland for a year in order to enjoy life in Costa Rica and naturally immerse myself in the Spanish language. During a total of 13 years with DBTC, I was able to familiarize myself with various departments. I began as an operator and later became the department head for fixed term deposits and foreign investments. Following my first hiatus, I was rehired as the deputy head of client administration. And after my stay in Costa Rica, I was ultimately responsible for handling the relationships with our external portfolio managers.
My duties at Fisch Asset Management
One of the side effects of the fast growth of our company was that i could constantly take over new tasks and handing off others. Since 2007 i work in our Middle Office. I like the multiple facets of this job and the opportunity to transfer my knowledge and experiences to all my colleagues in the department.
When I'm not working, then ...
... I like to sit with friends in a cozy lakeside restaurant and enjoy the evening with a glass of wine. A sound mind is in a sound body hence I do a lot of physical exercise. In the colder months, I like to spend time at home or skiing in the mountains.
What significance do "fish" have in my life?
... I enjoy eating them, preferably a grilled Dover sole!
Apart from my fondness for fish on a plate, I also like observing them under water – while I'm snorkeling or skin-diving. I have even come across sharks, giving me the chance to show them my teeth. |
