Fisch Academy
The Fisch Academy is an internal institution to encourage the further education of our staff and with the goal to closely co-operate with universities and research institutions.Turtle-Program
The term ‘Turtle Program’ has been invented by two investment professionals, Richard Dennis and Bill Eckhardt in 1983. They wondered whether successful trading is a skill one is born with or whether it can be developed and trained. The students were trained and they traded their own account with real money. Our Turtle Program addresses the staff outside the Asset Management Department and aims to provide an insight into the basic thoughts and mechanics of investing at the financial markets. The Turtles are introduced into the finance theory, they do exercises and – they trade their own account with real money.
Apprenticeship
Fisch Asset Management is a company that takes on apprentices. We employ an apprentice every second year. We understand it as our natural obligation: to educate young people.Finance Brush Up
The Finance Brush Up seminars highlight and enhance a finance topic on a weekly basis. The lectures are addressed to all staff but also clients, who are interested in a practice-oriented start into the theory of finance markets.Research
It is our goal to be informed about the latest trends and to develop practical applications together with universities. We developed together with the ETH Zurich an optimiser based on genetic algorythm, which covers specific needs in the analysis of convertible bonds. Employees of Fisch are lecturing at universities of applied sciences and we regularly are tutoring diploma theses. Furthermore, Fisch is a member of the Institute for Quantitative Investment Research; this gives Fisch the opportunity to have its projects covered by the most suitable university.
