My life before Fisch Asset Management
I attended the Buelrain School of Economics in Winterthur. Thereby, I went to New Zealand and the French part of Switzerland as an exchange student. I discovered my fascination for quantitative finance during my engineering studies (1999-2005) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Thus, I started to attend courses in this area and wrote my semester project and diploma thesis in the field of quantitative risk management. I complemented my studies with multiple domestic and foreign internships with a duration of several month at UBS, Siemens and Hamburg Süd. From 2007 to 2010, I successfully completed with great enthusiasm the master program of Advanced Studies in Finance UZH ETH as a part time student. The topic of my master thesis was convertible bond and asymmetry. 2012 I achieved the designation of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
My duties at Fisch Asset Management
I’ve been with Fisch Asset Management since 2005. Initially, I was a developer for proprietary portfolio management software. Then I moved to the portfolio management team, where I focused on multi-asset strategies. Now I have the pleasure of heading the Absolute Return team.
When I'm not working, then ...
I like to spend time with my family and practice all kinds of sports. At the moment my favourites are cycle ball and kite surfing, but I also enjoy sports that our two small children can get involved in, like skiing, cycling and swimming.
What significance do "fish" have in my life?
I love regional and seasonal food, so my favourite time to enjoy fish is when I’m by the seaside.
