My life before Fisch Asset Management
After passing my final exam at Rychenberg high school in Winterthur, I took my first steps into the world of finance just after the turn of the millennium. This took the form of an internship in private banking, middle office, independent asset management and financial institutions at Bank Leu AG in Zurich. I then went on to deepen my knowledge of finance by completing a business management course at Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur. Now fully qualified, I shouldered my backpack and left Switzerland with a view to honing my knowledge of foreign languages through extensive travel in Australia, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. After a brief stint in industry, as Assistant to the Senior Management at the Network Development & Operations department of Swisscom AG, I moved back to the world of finance, signing on with Fisch Asset Management in 2007 and beginning my career in portfolio management in the midst of the financial crisis.
My duties at Fisch Asset Management
As Portfolio Manager I am part of the Corporate Bond team. I am responsible for emerging market strategies, which invest globally in corporate bonds from emerging market issuers across the credit spectrum. My core tasks include credit research, securities selection, portfolio construction and performance analysis, as well as making client visits and attending conferences.
When I'm not working, then ...
… you’ll often find me at the lake, watching a football match or just socialising – whether it’s having friends over for dinner or going to a concert. I’m also an avid traveller and often get the urge to set out for somewhere new.
What significance do "fish" have in my life?
At the tender age of 10 I won my first and only fishing tournament, and I’ve grilled and eaten fish ever since – but one day the tables turned, when I myself was hooked by Fisch (luckily for me)!
