My life before Fisch Asset Management
Before joining Fisch, I had already worked in the financial services sector for around 28 years. Back in the day, my parents convinced me to do something useful after finishing secondary school and take an apprenticeship in banking. Over the next 23 years, spurred on by many a training and education course, I took on a whole variety of specialist and management functions within the Commerzbank Group in sales, coaching and strategic projects, but the common theme on my CV was always the securities and investment business. I then spent five years at Bankhaus Hauck & Aufhäuser, where I was initially responsible for sales and product management in the asset management division. Thereafter, until my move to Fisch, I looked after the bank’s business relationships and activities with institutional clients and wholesale partners in asset management as head of sales.
My duties at Fisch Asset Management
As Head of Sales & Relationship Management Germany & Austria I am in charge of the relationships with our institutional clients and their partners and advisors as well as our wholesale distribution partners in both countries. Alongside customer service, my key concern is developing our service portfolio and product range at a conceptual and strategic level. I am always discussing ideas and solutions with the team and colleagues from other departments to ensure we continue to provide our clients and partners with the right solutions in an environment of ever-growing complexity in the markets and regulation.
When I'm not working, then ...
… I like to be with my family! Although our daughters are grown up, we still make an effort to spend time together on a regular basis. I also love preparing and enjoying good food in the company of close friends. As I no longer get much opportunity to swing a hockey stick, I try to keep in shape with other sports such as mountain biking, jogging and going to the gym, and am also a passionate (but passive) football fan. I also believe in making time for the fine art of doing nothing, in particular at the weekend.
What significance do "fish" have in my life?
If I’m honest, none in particular before my time at Fisch – apart from my star sign (Pisces) and my passion for sushi and barbecued salmon ;-)
