Senior Portfolio Manager
My life before Fisch Asset Management
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania I spent a year as an investment banking M&A analyst for ING Barings. Afterwards, I moved to DWS/Deutsche Asset Management in high yield, first as an analyst and then as a portfolio manager. I spent the next fifteen years of my career there and finished as the co-head of our HY efforts in Europe.
My duties at Fisch Asset Management
I work as a portfolio manager in the corporate bond team. I spend the majority of my time looking at individual issuers to find attractive investment opportunities for our strategies as well as discussing our general positioning in the strategies. I also visit conferences and individual companies to better understand the risks from our investment universe.
When I'm not working, then ...
I am often trying to stay fit through some kind of physical activity such as working out or jogging. Otherwise, I also enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my friends and family.
What significance do "fish" have in my life?
My dream is to retire in Hawaii where fish play a significant role since you are on an island in the middle of the ocean. I like to snorkel and look at the fish while swimming, but I must admit that I also like to eat them, especially my favorite fish, the Opakapaka.
