My life before Fisch Asset Management
Following the completion of my MBA , I joined Moody’s Investors Service in New York as a credit analyst. After nearly three years there, and a brief stint at HSBC as a desk analyst, I began my career at Swiss Bank/UBS. Initially, I joined the credit research team in London, and later transferred to New York where I became responsible for Swiss Bank’s Global Credit Research team. Shortly after the Swiss Bank/UBS merger in 1998, I returned to a trading role where I spent the next 11 years trading Asian, EEMEA, and Latin American credits in New York as well as London, and ultimately became responsible for all Latin American credit trading at UBS. In 2009, I joined Morgan Stanley where I was initially responsible for Emerging Market Corporate credit trading, and later transferred to the Capital Markets division has Head of Emerging Markets Debt Syndicate.
My duties at Fisch Asset Management
After a long investment banking career, I joined Fisch in 2014 as part of the Asset Management Team. In 2016, I took responsibility for running the corporate bond team that focuses on High Yield, Global Corporate, and Emerging Market credit strategies. In addition, I co-manage the Emerging Market strategies at Fisch.
When I'm not working, then ...
….you will usually find me outdoors. During the winter season I try to ski as often as possible. During the warmer months I like to play golf, bike-riding, and weather permitting, spend time on the water. Travel remains a family hobby and we enjoy experiencing different cultures and customs throughout the world.
What significance do "fish" have in my life?
Interestingly, after joining Fisch, I learned that there actually is a fish species named “Stroemer” that was recognized as “Fish of the Year” in Germany in 1998. Perhaps I was meant to be a “Fisch” all along!
