My life before Fisch Asset Management
After obtaining my masters degree in business administration at the University of Zurich I started to work as auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. The topic “business organisation” fascinated me already in my studies so I obtained a degree as business organizer first and then the degree as a Swiss Chartered Accountant. During the audit I got familiar with the world of mutual funds and switched after twelve years to the fund industry to AXA Investment Managers (Switzerland) and later to LB(Swiss) Investment.
My duties at Fisch Asset Management
I have one of the most diversified jobs at Fisch: Compliance Officer! I get in touch with all other employees and get a look into their work.
When I'm not working, then ...
… I like to read classical literature (my favorite books/authors are Hermann Hesse: Goldmund and Narziss/Das Glasperlenspiel, André Gide: The Immorality und Amin Maalouf: Samarkand), I like to be out in the nature (especially in the mountains) and I like to swim! I love to cook for friends and visit theatres (ok – at least now and then, but always the “Spectacle of Theatre” in Zurich)
What significance do "fish" have in my life?
As a diver I am fascinated of fishes! I`ll never forget the spotting of a hairy frogfish on sea grass, where he was moving forward and angling with his fishing rod. The dashing forward of a mandarin fish, the floating of an eagle ray, the gliding of round-faced batfish and the attack of a clown fish are just admirable. There are a lot of scenes underwater: they love, take care, fight, hunt and eat – as in daily life on land, but: the incredible variety of forms and colors of the fishes is a amazing enrichment of life on our planet!
