Fisch Asset Management strengthens its Board of Directors with the appointment of Prof. Dr. Hartmut Leser, adding further market expertise. This new appointment underscores the strategic importance of the German market and signals Fisch Asset Management’s commitment to further expanding its presence in the German-speaking region.
At its Annual General Meeting, Swiss fixed income specialist Fisch Asset Management appointed Prof. Dr. Hartmut Leser to its Board of Directors. He succeeds Juerg Sturzenegger, who is stepping down at his own request. The appointment reflects the firm's strategic commitment to the German-speaking markets and adds deep industry expertise to the Board. Hartmut Leser brings a distinguished track record in the asset management industry, particularly in the German institutional segment.
From 2007 to 2022, he served as CEO of Aberdeen Investments Deutschland AG, where he successfully positioned the company as the leading foreign asset manager in the German institutional market. Prior to that, he was Managing Partner at FERI, responsible for the investment consulting activities.
Currently, Hartmut Leser serves on various supervisory boards and is a partner at Brain Capital, a private-sector provider of education financing. He also teaches asset management as an honorary professor at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. He studied economics and finance at the universities of Mannheim and Saarbrücken, as well as at the London School of Economics and the University of Michigan. He holds degrees as a Diplom-Volkswirt and Master in Economics and a doctorate in international financial markets.
