Dr. Torsten von Bartenwerffer, an Executive Committee Member and Co-Head Multi Asset Solutions at Fisch Asset Management, will succeed Juerg Sturzenegger with effect from 1 November. After seven years as CEO, Juerg Sturzenegger has coordinated his succession together with company founders Kurt and Pius Fisch. Juerg Sturzenegger will serve as a member of the Board of Directors going forward.
Juerg Sturzenegger will continue to play an active role for the company as a Board Member. As CEO, he concentrated on the overhaul of the company’s infrastructure and processes, including a new portfolio management system. Sturzenegger also built up a management team capable of ensuring that Fisch Asset Management remains a leading independent asset manager in the future.
Torsten von Bartenwerffer commented: “I am very much looking forward to my new role. We have a very robust company and highly qualified employees, and the founders are fully behind the operational management team. These are the ideal foundations on which we can continue to focus on the success of our investors.”
Torsten von Bartenwerffer has been with Fisch for over two years as Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-Head Multi Asset Solutions. He previously held a variety of specialist and management positions at FERI Group, Aquila Capital Hamburg, Clariden Leu and UBS. He studied economics at the University of St. Gallen, acquiring a doctorate from the same institution.
The Executive Committee will also be newly composed with effect from 1 November. Existing members are Christoph Feusi (Head Clients & Products), Vladimir Khmyrov (Head Investment Services) and Torsten von Bartenwerffer, who as CEO will represent the Portfolio Management. They will be joined on the Executive Committee by Diana Neuroni, previously Head Finance. Diana also takes on a new responsibility for the Corporate Services area.
Furthermore, a new Portfolio Management Board is being established. This will ensure that the Portfolio Management teams can focus on their core businesses, thereby delivering sustainable, first-class performance. In addition to CEO Torsten von Bartenwerffer, the Portfolio Management Board will be comprised of Oliver Reinhard, Head Corporate Bonds, and Thomas Fischli Rutz, Head of the Convertible Bonds, Emerging Markets, and Multi Asset Solutions areas.
